Throw back to last Saturday.

Every time when there were people walking in my direction, I would think that's the security guards asking me to go away. But I was wrong every time.

That's Causeway Bay. It's busy even during pandemic time. People come, people go. No one really cares about you.

Lesson learnt - site visit and prior research are required for almost everything.

If I know they would close all benches and put stanchions around the Christmas tree, I would not be bringing my stool.

And the important part of going to Tai Kwun is about going What to Eat before or after. And What to Eat closes today .

In just a week's time, this tree has taken a complete different outlook.  The yellow leaves are gone, but the green ones stay.

We will see you again in spring.

Christmas Every Day

So this is a little warm up of the Times Square beetle next week.

There were way more staffs/security guards than Times Square (2 vs 0) at around the same time (i.e. 10am), and I confess I didn't dare to open my stool. It's only when the staffs were gone missing that I decided to sit down. Lucky that they only caught me later when I was almost done, and "let" me to take some photos before I left.

Downstairs

A quick one just downstairs from home. I have never noticed this tree can grow so golden yellow, but in a few days' time, I am afraid there will be no leaves on the tree.

A sparrow suddenly jumped out of the planter I sat by. It scared me a lot! And the sparrow stayed around me till I finished.

General Post Office from the bridge to Star Ferry

The problem with this location is you are scared that your sketchbook will drop, your pen will drop, your brush with drop...to the three lanes traffic below. And the bridge was always shaking because of the heavy pedestrian traffic to the Star Ferry and the Observation Wheel.

如果跌佐支筆落馬路，唔知會有乜野後果呢

Conclusion: The view is good, but more confidence is definitely needed!

P.S. GPO opens every Sunday afternoon. I went to send out my calendars and then did some sketching.

#池上飯包故事館 is just around the corner of the hostel I stayed. It's so close that I might have walked pass a thousand times, but have not really played a good visit.

Community Isolation Facility at Lei Yue Mun Park and Holiday Village

Lei Yue Mun Park and Holiday Village, I think, from downstairs of my place.

The Village was first turned to a #quarantine centre because of #covid19, and recently to a community insolation facility for stable "young" (as in under 50, I think) patients with mild symptoms or about to end hospitalisation. Its operation is supported by the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital nearby.

P.S. Outline of this was done months ago when I would still spend time outdoor. Colours were added with reference to photo taken this morning. Good weather today.
