This is so windy today that my pencil case got blown away (!) and I couldn't have my hat safely on. A security guard discussed with me how special it is to have a bronze sculpture against a line of trees, while another one patrolled in front of me from time to time, probably trying to make sure I won't sit on their steps, or to wait for the usual crowd of foreign domestic helpers. Mr Security Guard likely is not aware that Easter is not a Statutory Holiday so he won't be seeing the usual crowd he expects.

(In Hong Kong, there is a difference between “General Holidays” and “Statutory Holidays”. In short, the so-called “white collars” enjoy “General Holidays” (17 days in 2020), while the “blue collars” enjoy “Statutory Holidays” (12 days in 2020), and Easter does not fall into “Statutory Holidays”. This is why I could not see many foreign domestic helpers at the spot I sketched today on Good Friday, on top of the general ban of public gathering with more than 4 people in view of #covid19.)
