Chai Wan Park

Having lived in Chai Wan for 16 years, that was the first time I visited Chai Wan Park two weeks ago. The Park is quite noisy because of the train, but people of all ages do enjoy the leisure area among all the high rises.

It isn't very big but there is a small pond that is good for remote-control boat. A little kid and his granny were completely attracted when I was there 2 weeks ago.

District Council Election is next Sunday, and the school downstairs from home will once again become a polling station.

Do exercise your right and cast your vote.

On Remembrance Day and always, lest we forget

On this very special day, let us remember all, far and close, who have sacrificed for the betterment of others.

The Cenotaph was unveiled in 1923. It was initially inscribed with the words “The Glorious Dead” and the years “1914-1918” to commemorate the victims of the First World War. The years “1939-1945” were added later to honour victims of the Second World War. In the 1980s, “英魂不朽 浩氣長存” were carved on one side of the Cenotaph to make it clear that the Cenotaph commemorates all who fell, especially those who fell in the defence of Hong Kong.

池上福原打鐵工坊

Last sketch in Chishang before departing on Tuesday. I wasn't so confident on the spot, so the colour was added later.

The shop owner went out to take a look of my doing and said "everyone does have their own skills". This line comes from him is extra convincing.

[Remark: Many people have painted and photographed his workshop. Mine is just very elementary level.]
