I lived in #PakLingLau of #KwunTong #GardenEstate on and off with my grandparents and my youngest aunts and uncle before primary school. We were among the first to move in (I of course wasn’t born back then), and I believe that must be a happy time when finally having a decent shelter with our own kitchen and bathroom.
The Garden Estate will be re-developed in a few years' time. People may say
the new could not come if the old is not gone. But with more and more
disappearing, I could only feel more and more alienated.
